Letter of Consent to Assignment of Copyright and Non-Infringement of Copyright and Portrait Rights

1. Copyright Assignment

By submitting my photograph(s) to the "Harmony & Peace" Photo Contest organized by Hsi Fang Temple, I hereby grant to Hsi Fang Temple a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works from my submitted photograph(s) for the following purposes:

• Publication in print materials, including but not limited to newsletters, brochures, and exhibition catalogs
• Display on websites, social media platforms, and digital communications
• Exhibition and display at Hsi Fang Temple and related venues
• Promotional and educational materials related to the contest and temple activities
• Submission to international photo contests organized by Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) Headquarter

2. Ownership Retention

I understand and acknowledge that this license does not transfer ownership of the copyright to Hsi Fang Temple. I retain full ownership and copyright of my photograph(s) and may use them for any purpose, including commercial use, without restriction.

3. Originality and Non-Infringement

I hereby represent and warrant that:

• The photograph(s) I am submitting are my own original work
• I am the sole owner of all copyright rights in the photograph(s)
• The photograph(s) do not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
• The photograph(s) do not violate any laws or regulations
• The photograph(s) have not been winning entries or previously exhibited works from other photo contests

4. Portrait Rights

If my photograph(s) contain recognizable images of individuals, I represent and warrant that:

• I have obtained written consent (model release) from all identifiable individuals in the photograph(s)
• All individuals have granted permission for their likeness to be used in the manner described in this consent
• I will provide model release documentation upon request

5. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hsi Fang Temple, Buddha's Light International Association, San Diego Chapter, University Heights Community Association, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Any breach of my representations and warranties set forth in this consent
• Any claim that my photograph(s) infringe upon the rights of any third party
• Any claim related to the use of my photograph(s) as permitted by this consent

6. Contest Rules Compliance

I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to comply with all rules and regulations of the "Harmony & Peace" Photo Contest, including but not limited to:

• Technical requirements for photograph submission
• Category restrictions and submission limits
• Judging criteria and award procedures
• Deadline requirements

7. Disqualification

I understand that if a third party disputes my winning entry and the organizer confirms the dispute is valid, I will be disqualified. In such cases, no replacement winner will be selected, and any reward will be forfeited. I bear sole responsibility for any copyright or legal violations, and the organizer assumes no liability for such issues.

8. Acknowledgment

By checking the consent box and submitting my photograph(s), I acknowledge that I have read this Letter of Consent in its entirety, understand its terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by them. I understand that this consent is a legally binding agreement.
